At
first I tried Low-Fat. I weighed 260 pounds when I begin
low-fat eating in July of 1997 and was successful in
taking off about 80 to 85 pounds but was unable to
maintain the loss. While I was on low fat, I was
irritable, fatigued, sleepy and ravenous. After regaining
about 45 pounds of that weight I discovered Low-Carb.
Within a week all my symptoms had disappeared and I felt
fantastic. Best of all I was NOT hungry anymore. I have
enjoyed it so immensely that I have decided to remain on
Low-Carb permanently as a means of weight maintenance. So
the series of pictures below begin with me at my low-fat
lowest, then show my weight regain then there is a gap in
the middle where I reached a max of 225 pounds and then
begin to lose it again. The pictures resume with me at
197 pounds after I had lost 27 pounds. Those which follow
afterwards show the weight coming off slowly with Low-Carb.
